A Coruña
A Coruña, a port city in the north-westerly tip of Spain on the edge of the North Atlantic. This special place at the heart of Galicia is a land that is unique and unspoiled – a place of rugged beauty. A place of mighty cliffs and windswept sandy beaches – unchanged and changeable as the seasons, it has been an inspiration for countless artists – painters, sculptors, writers and photographers.

The Marta Ortega Pérez (MOP) Foundation is defined by three guiding passions: fashion, photography, and A Coruña. The Foundation’s inaugural exhibition, Peter Lindbergh: Untold Stories attracted an audience of over 100,000. Its second exhibition, Steven Meisel 1993: A Year in Photographs, built on that success attracting an audience of 132,000. The Foundation’s third exhibition, Helmut Newton - Fact & Fiction, runs from November 18, 2023, to May 1, 2024. The Foundation aims to bring world class-photography exhibitions to A Coruña and, in so doing, bring A Coruña closer to the world. Through its exhibition programme the Foundation offers the public a moment to discover the work of true photographic Masters. At the same time as showcasing these great artists the Foundation is also developing an education programme designed to support the artists of the future.
